R&D Lab Associate (Montreal) About the role: Are you ready to take your lab skills to the next level in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment? As an R&D Lab Associate, you will play a crucial role in developing next-generation, scalable assays that advance the capabilities of a groundbreaking proteomics platform. You’ll get hands-on experience with advanced equipment, such as liquid handlers and cytometers, as you execute experiments and refine protocols. Your attention to detail and passion for lab work will be key as you collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize and scale biosensor experiments.

This role involves a high degree of bench work, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of lab processes. You’ll contribute to the development of protocols for onboarding new protein targets and support the transition of R&D assays into deployable formats. In addition to experiment execution, you’ll take on lab management responsibilities, including inventory management, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining lab stocks.

What we’re looking for:
  • 3+ years of hands-on wet lab experience with a love for benchwork.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related bioscience field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Expertise in lab protocols such as multicolor flow cytometry, qPCR, SDS-PAGE, western blotting, and microscopy.
  • Knowledge of immunoassay optimization, surface chemistry, and key proteomic techniques like ELISA, protein expression/purification, and mass spectrometry.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced R&D team environment.
Join us if you:
  • Are driven by a mission to transform biological measurements and accelerate biomarker discovery.
  • Thrive in a challenge-driven environment and are eager to grow your skills.
  • Want to be at the forefront of biotechnology and play a role in building innovative proteomic tools.
  • Love hands-on lab work and using insights from experiments to improve analytical methods.
  • Enjoy working within a diverse, cross-functional team where your contributions are valued.

If you’re passionate about lab work, excited to drive innovation in proteomics, and eager to make a real impact, we invite you to apply and join us on this journey to transform how biology is understood and measured!
